Welcome to the world
Jaidan was born Sunday August 2nd @ 6:34 pm. He weighed 7lbs 4 oz and was 20 1/4inches long. I will have to give my full birth story soon, but for now I will give basic details. My dr. had told me not to make a ‘birth plan’ because I was setting myself up for failure. She couldnt have been more wrong! And that’s one of the reasons we switched from my OB to a midwife to have him at home in a birth pool. I knew my expectations for labor & delivery, I just needed someone else to help me achieve that. I didnt want to be induced, I didnt want an epidural (despite everyone telling me I would want one), I really didnt even care to be in the hospital at all!! We met Lesley, our doula, and loved her right away- I knew she was someone I needed for my birth!! We then met and talked with our midwife, Donnellyn, on Thursday morning. My water broke Friday morning @ 3:30. Contractions finally started Saturday night at 11pm. And Jaidan arrived Sunday night! 🙂 God pieced everything together so perfectly, I wasnt even skeptical about all the last minute changes.  It was the <hardest> but most amazing thing I’ve ever done. And I’d do it all over again the exact same way! I love my little water baby!
