Tot School: Week of Jan 16th
January 22, 2012

Tot School
Jaidan is 29.5 months old!

Letter: C
Object: Caterpillars
Vocabulary Development: Change
Memory Verse: You will be changed into His likeness. -2 Corinthians 3:18
(I got the printables from somewhere on Totally Tots)
Everything else is
From: 1+1+1=1

Here’s our C set up for the week. Except I see the blue tray is empty. Hmm.

I kept his puzzles out all week for him and he loved doing them. They are a little hard for him, but he does well.

We made the busy bug caterpillars crawl into the hole in the shoebox. He thought that was kind of funny. Don’t mind the wood peeking out from the paint… Jared hasn’t finished it. 😛

This is the extent of the printables he wanted to do this week. There was another sheet that showed the change from caterpillars to butterflies so we talked about that a little bit and then he traced this C a couple of times.

I used part of the Very Hungry Caterpillar printables to make this fun game. I laminated all of the key words from The Very Hungry Caterpillar book and taped them around the room. Then when I read the book he had to go find each word. He liked it.

This is what was in the empty blue tray on the first day. They had to create something with what I had out.

They made a little caterpillar. He pretended it was biting him & then wanted Jared to eat it. haha. He’s crazy.

‘Helping’ make our ‘C’ craft. Love his eyelashes.

Gluing the eyes on.

Our ‘C’ craft: CRAB!

Although Jaidan doesn’t do much in putting the craft together he really enjoys them after they are made!

Some funny things that he has been saying lately…

He asked for bananas and we told him we didn’t have anymore.
He said “yes it doesn’t.” Anytime we tell him no about something he says “yes it doesn’t”. Just too cute.
