Prenatal Appt:
So at my last appt I had lost 1lb. Boy did I make up for it this time… I gained 7lbs!! SEVEN. Holy moly. I’m now at 150lbs. The most I’ve ever weighed in my entire life. My belly was measuring 36 weeks. Heartbeat was around 140 & Jaidan helped do the Doppler. He is SO cute about the baby. I also got my postpartum folder & have lots of info to look over along with waivers to think about and sign, birth certificate paper, labor & delivery info & the group b strep testing. I actually have the option to do the testing or not. I love all the options I get to choose for myself instead of being lined up and made to do everything everyone else does.
How I’m feeling:
Heavy. Slow. Heavy. haha. I don’t know how overweight people can stand it. I will never let myself get ‘full time fat’ because it hinders you SO much and affects everything. I mean, I know this is an actual baby & not just fat but there’s no way I could live like this. I’m craving the energy I get when I’m much smaller. Oh and the indigestion. Oh the indigestion.
Baby Buys:
I actually bought something this week! I bought prefolds cloth diapers from a baby board friend in Arizona. I bought 36 small and 24 medium green mountain diapers. I will show a picture when I get them in but they will go in the covers I have. I also bought my sports bra I will wear while in labor and for my birth pictures. Last time I just put on a ratty green sports bra (I had no idea I would have pictures of me in them) so I made sure to get a cute one this time! I got the more purple one (right). I SO love purple!
I also went through the nursery and took inventory of what we have and what we still need. Some stuff that I kept ended up getting warped or just no good anymore & then some stuff you just have to get new of anyway like bottle nipples. Here’s what we are stocked with so far…
- Medela freezer bottles
- Playtex nursers- he used these the most
- Playtex nurser with drop in liners
- Medela bottles without nipples
- 4 random sample bottles
- dishwasher basket
- Breastmilk storage bags! Are these still good?
- This is about 1/4 of the bibs we started out with. He barely ever used them though.
- Newborn socks
- 0-6 month socks
- Burp cloths, my favorites are just the plain prefolds.
- Baby care timer that I used religiously the first 4 months of his life. Maybe not so much this time with the iphone.
- swimming diapers
- diaper rash powder
- I will be using these washcloths as cloth wipes at home!
And somebody was obsessed with the bottles. Actually only a certain bottle… with a brown nipple. lol. He was excited when I put water in it for him to drink out of. He was never even a huge fan of bottles and stopped drinking from them cold turkey at 14 months. He wouldn’t even drink my milk from a sippy, he needed it straight from the tap. There were a couple times when he was sick and Jared had to bring him up to my work so I could nurse him because he refused to drink anything. Oh my boy.
Belly Picture:
Coming Soon!
I will be showing the nursery soon. It’s not that different from with Jaidan, but I will still share anyway. It’s all put together now! Also my ‘baby sprinkle’ is this weekend so I will show the cuteness from that too! 🙂
