Zoie Amaya

7 Months old today!

This is about you as a 6 month old (as of 3.06.16)

20lbs 27″

Breastfeeding:

Nursing is going great! You’ve wanted to stay attached quite a bit lately at night which makes things hard. Like getting up early for work. I’m so ready to be done working. We’ve got ourselves into such an ideal situation for me to be able to stay at home soon and we are closer than ever now. (Thank you FPU) I’m just waiting on a couple things. And trying not to make a mistake or jump the gun too soon. I’ve been there 12 years this month. TWELVE! I love working there but my heart is elsewhere. I have 3 needy human beings & an awesome sexy husband at home. Someone please come & make these adulting decisions for me. Oh but back to breastfeeding… it’s good. 🙂

Sleeping:

You are still pretty good at sleeping. Like you have yourself scheduled. You get tired around 9pm and want to go to sleep. You do sleep all night with sometimes waking up early and sometimes not really waking up but you just seem uncomfortable. I’m pretty sure teething is the culprit since you got 2 teeth this month. A few nights you wanted to be attached to my nipple all night and that’s not really cool but I understand. I try the pacifier but you just wont have it.
Ohhhh daddy built your bed too! I wanted something next to the bed for just you since the boys have the other side of our bed. Luckily a crib mattress fit PERFECTLY next to our bed and the wall! Between getting sick and starting another project in the living-room we haven’t finished it yet (still need to sand and paint) but it’s up and running. 🙂

Diaper Duty:

We ran out of Honest wipes & went to the store to buy more. We were feeling frugal so we bought a cheaper brand. (Babyganics) Within 2 days you had a rash on your little booty. 🙁 So we ended up back at the store buying the Honest brand. You are not sensitive skinned like Jonah so I thought it would be be fine.

Daddy built us a clothesline so now we can hang the cloth diapers out to dry!

I went ahead & have been letting the snaps out of the cloth diapers as I used them and figured eventually I would get to all of them. Well daddy has been snapping them back so I never got to another one unsnapped! Ha, that was a good laugh!

Clothing:

6-9 months.
9 months
12 months
Depending on the material will depend on the size you are wearing.

Developmentally:

This was a HUGE month for you! Not only are you HALF A YEAR OLD but you started sitting on your own and you started CRAWLING! (March 12th) You also go from crawl position to sit position. You do a lot of bear crawling. You are also pulling up on stuff. You pulled up on our chairs and stood holding on to it. (April 1st and you were NOT joking) You got your 1st and 2nd tooth this month! (bottom right on the same day you started crawling and then bottom left on March 28th)

You also got the Rotavirus and puked for 9 days straight. It was awful and you threw up over 45 times in those days. Actually everyone but daddy got it and you definitely got it the worst. It also brought on insane diarrhea diapers and at one point we were giving you syringes of pedialyte and breastmilk to keep you hydrated. Me and daddy took shifts in the night so that someone was always awake with you in case you threw up. There is absolutely NO warning when a 6 month old is going to spew. 🙁

You have been favoring me over anyone else lately. Of course, mommy is the best. 🙂 That also makes it hard to leave you. The only one I will leave you with is daddy so that is kind of okay but really not when he calls and says you wont take your bottle and probably misses me. 🙁

Mama of THREE:

I can’t express enough how much I love my 3 little buttercups. I love watching each of you learn, grow & interact with the world. Y’all make my dreams come true every single day.

Big Brother’s Jaidan & Jonah:

They love that you can crawl and do so much. Jonah has more & more interest in you everyday.

Easter!

We all were still recovering from the sickness so we planned nothing. Living next to Nana’s now though it was easy to just do a cookout at her house! Joel was on call for work so Amanda & Oliver came down too. And Diann is living right there so she came too. We ate steak & chicken, potato salad, rolls and then we made broccoli salad. Nana & Pops had Easter eggs and we had some too.

Something NEW!

One of my new hobbies that I’ve been really into the past few months is making Day in the Life videos of our family! One of the youtubers I watch said she encouraged her followers to do it at least for themselves (if not a youtuber) so I tried it! I did my first one when Jonah was 7 months old and have made at least 1 video per month since then. So for 2 years now! AND the conclusion is that I LOVE it! The kids (mainly Jonah) is practically obsessed with watching them. Babies and kids change SO incredibly fast & as much as you want to remember cute things about them you will forget. Having little videos put together & easily accessible to view them has been one of the sweetest ways to look back on the kids & even ourselves and to hear our thoughts & see our routines.

I still have ours private on youtube but I think I will share them here with updates!

So the first one is from March 6, the day Zoie turned 6 months old.

The second one is March 23, on Jonah’s month birthday rollover. Jonah is actually hilarious in this one.
