7 Months old!
(as of Jan 23, 2013)
20lbs 28″
Getting pictures of you has become much more complicated. We started out in your chair and you kept throwing yourself forward. Obviously I was afraid you would fall out and I had to get back pretty far with the lens I was using. So then I turned you around in Jaidan’s bed so you could just look back at me… but not without standing up first. I have a feeling it’s going to get pretty busy here soon. Thank you in advance…
Breastfeeding:
There’s really nothing new to talk about here. You nurse when you want which is about every 3 hours. We put you in your high chair for the first time! That way you can start getting used to being with us at meal times since we do the family meal thing. No food yet, but you were excited to be included! 🙂
Sleeping:
Well we managed to escape the flu last month when Jaidan had it but we weren’t so lucky this time! Feb came and the flu came with it!! Just a very unrelated side note here… I keep typing fly instead of flu. It makes me giggle thinking what ‘having the fly’ would feel like. haha. okay back to our sickness. Jared got it Friday, I got it Saturday and you got it Sunday. It was so miserable. Having the chills and having to calm you to sleep. One night you couldn’t sleep at all. You just kept crying and whimpering and whining. It was so sad. Just yeah. The Dr. offered us Tamiflu but we are just not Tamiflu taking kinda peeps so we had some Elderberry syrup instead.
Developmentally:
6 days into being 7 months old you started crawling! It’s adorable! Your right leg is out on your foot and your left leg is bent on your knee and it kinda scoots under you. No, it doesn’t drag. Dragging it is listed as one of the problems to watch out for. I’d be okay if you dragged it too, I wouldn’t love you any less but I just wanted to be clear here. 😛 You also pull up to standing. It’s pretty wobbly and I’m SO nervous when you do it but I have to let you do it yourself. You go from a crawl position to sitting and from sitting to crawling. You talk. A lot. When those become real words, oh my. You say Dada Mama Bubba and lots of blabbering!
Mama of TWO:
Luckily Mimi took Jaidan one day and Amanda and Joel took Jaidan one day while we had the flu so for that I want to say that I’m thankful that he is at an old enough age where I’m okay with him going somewhere for a few hours. And super thankful that we have help if needed. Although it was very weird having someone pick Jaidan up while I was at home. Normally I’m at work if one of our parents has him.
Big Brother Jaidan:
Happy Valentine’s Day:
Luckily I got my Valentine’s pictures literally the same day you got sick. Like this night after taking these you were sad with the flu.
I wanted to get the same pictures of you that I had gotten for Jaidan since yall are around the same age month at Valentine’s Day. Jaidan was much chunkier yet you weigh more. Yall’s hair is similar though and you can tell you are brothers.
I think I’m all caught up now with your updates… until next month! 🙂
