I feel like I always start out saying “Okay, so…” lol.
Okay, so… The plan was to wake up at 4:30, leave at 5:15, stop at starbucks and split a caramel frappucino, drop the baby off at 5:35, and be at the hospital by 6:00. Well, what happens when you dont wake up until 5:30?? I HATE running late!! We ran outta the house by 6:00 and I think we got here about 6:40?
Admissions… Jared was checking in & they wanted him to pay $2000. Okay who brings $2000 to the hospital with them? Then they said how about half? Or $750, or $20. Nope, they get nothing. The surgery was 25K and my ins. pays 80% so we owe 5K, but the max I have to pay is 2K so yay!! 🙂 Looks like we’ll add this to our debt list… thats okay. But we thought it was kind of crazy that they were trying to negotiate a price when he was there for surgery on his heart! They cant turn him away!!
Prepping for surgery… Everything was fine until the nurses and dr came in. Since we were late they were trying to do everything super quick. They were taking blood and putting the IV in and asked all those hospital questions. Then the anethesiologist came in and told them what theyll do and the worst case scenarios. Yeah totally freaked me out. 🙁 Im not used to all this stuff!!
He went back at 7:45 and the Dr came out at 9:20 and said everything went great and we could see him now! Happiest moment ever!
He was a little loopy and the first thing he said was that there was no creativity on the walls and it made him bored. LoL. 🙂 Then he wanted subway.
The surgery went well, the pacemaker had wedged itself in there so they had to go pretty deep but they didnt cut the muscle.
Im so grateful for awesome nurses & doctors!! We get to go home around 3 or 4 so me and Jareds dad are hanging out up here with our starbucks & subway! 😉
Mandi & Kent left about 11 and are bringing us homemade chicken pot pie for dinner!
I like to make short stories long, lol.
