The New Office
December 31, 2011

Since we are staying put for a while longer (and not moving to TN) we decided a small change would be nice.

I love Jared working from home and he loves it too. In order for us to continue equally loving it he reeeeeally needed to find another place to work! On my days off me and the little guy we were constantly being interrupted by phone calls and Skype meetings! Bleh!

He took over my scrapbook room/desk in Sept 2009 when he went freelance with his web designing. French doors close the ‘office’ to our living room. We always kept it closed because of 1.) the cat and 2.) the kid. They were both like magnets to that room. Jaidan would bang on the windows constantly and I swear I spent most of my time keeping him out of there.

My scrapbook room has been weeded out (since I now do online scrap booking) and my stuff has been moved to the ‘craft closet’… it houses my white organizational shelving you see in this picture. That is actually in the playroom closet now!

Anyway, We were thinking of different places in the house he could set up for his office and when I had serious thoughts about sticking him in one of the closets I knew we had to think outside the box. Or outside the house… but still home. Hello Mr. Shed. 🙂

And now enter my wonderful step dad! It wouldn’t have been possible without him!!

Building the desk right into it.

Look at this awesome organization idea to hide the wires on his desk!

Welcome to the new office of Killerbee Creative!

Isn’t it perfect!?! We just need to add a few cute… err… manly touches to it and it will be completed! I wanted to get a picture of my step dad next to his masterpiece but it was dark when he finished it so I will have to get him back over here for that. Oh and did I mention it only took 3 days!

So aside from how wonderful it looks, it was one of the best things we’ve done!! Jared’s first day in his new office he came in for a break and said I can’t believe it’s only 10:30, I’ve gotten SO much work accomplished! And me and the little guy have had much better block building and Berkner band jam out sessions because we have the whole house to ourselves!

Come back to see what name the previous scrapbook room/ Jared’s office will have! I’ll also have pictures of my craft closet!
