Homemade Doodle Paint!
February 8, 2012

My friend’s son’s birthday party is this weekend & I asked her for gift ideas for the almost 4 year old. She said he loves doing art stuff! I came across these homemade doodle paints & thought it would make the perfect gift!

Ingredients:

  • Flour
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Squeeze bottles (We used 4oz bottles)
  • Glass bowls
  • Spoon
  • Coloring (we used Wilton gels)
  • Funnel

In the glass bowls, mix equal parts flour salt & water until smooth & no clumps. I did 1/3 cup of each and it was perfect for 4oz bottles! If you use 6oz bottles use 1/2 cup of each.

My little helper

Mix in the water

Add in the coloring to your desired color & mix well! The funnel was helpful for getting the paint in the bottles! The salt container only allowed me to make just shy of 4 bottles so I only have 3 made for my friends son so far.

Homemade Doodle Paint

I printed these labels out on sticker paper to put on the bottles!

We painted with the not quite full bottle on thick paper and it worked really well!

It’s kinda puffy & glittery.

I found the Homemade Doodle Paint idea here.
