We brought in the new year a bit low key this year.
There are usually 8 of us plus any kids. One year we had a bunch of people & decided it wasn’t as fun as just a couple of our close friends. With work schedules and family/kid priorities this year I had my best friend all to myself! 🙂
We played Uno.
We had our own little smorgasbord. If you’ve seen us eat at Olive Garden you know we had no problems being the only ones to graze on this all night!! See the glass bowl with red sauce in it? That’s raspberry chipotle dip over cream cheese. See the 2 stars filled with white dip? The one on the right is my fruit dip and the one on the left is a greek cheeseball. Holy moly YUMM!!
There was about 15 minutes that I had stopped eating anything. Megan decided it was because we ran out of wheat thins on our plate. Good call Meg. Bring on the wheat thins!!
My mom stopped by because we were going to keep a dog in our backyard that she found. (Until we could find his owners) That ended up not working out because the dog wanted in the house and probably would have broke through the door to get in. She took him back and he slept in the converted part of their garage.
We also played 2 games of LIFE (until 2am) & laughed a lot. Some things were funny, but mostly we were probably tired. 🙂
Jaidan actually zonked out at 10pm. I guess our game of LIFE was too exciting for him. Bring on 2011, Happy New Year!!! (Meg’s face cracks me up!!)
