Valentine’s Day!
February 17, 2011

My oh-so-sweet husband surprised me on Valentine’s day. Obviously I knew it was Valentine’s Day but I worked while he was stuck at home with the sick kid. boo 🙁 Valentine’s Day is not a big deal to me… I just had a fun day because we had a little Valentine’s party at work! I’m such a kid when it comes to parties! I’ll be the first one in the bounce house! Okay no bounce house this time, but look at these cute Jello hearts I made for the occasion.

You start with one layer of jello & let it set in the fridge.

The 2nd layer is evaporated milk and unflavored gelatin. It started to get thick so I should have waited to mix it.

Another layer of jello 🙂

Oops! It got even more thick. Oh well.

And final layer of jello

Cute jello hearts!

Not too bad for all the clumping that was going on!

And some of the other Valentine’s Sweet Treats at work…

Melissa’s funfetti cupcakes…

adorable brownie hearts made by Herb’s girlfriend 🙂

Here is my cuteness, Angela

LaLindsay getting some food… (sidenote- me and Megan got silly one day at work & started putting a ‘la’ before everyone’s names and I STILL cannot stop calling her LaLindsay. ha!)

And last but not least, my Cassafrass!

OOhh… but back to how my sweet husband surprised me… I got home around 7pm and he had this waiting for us.

Melts my heart because I was not expecting it at all. I even told him we could go to IHOP if he didn’t want to cook because they had a buy one get one free dinner. haha. He made us lemon rosemary chicken or something like that? He said it was a Jamie Oliver recipe that he found online and he marinated it for like 4 hours. SO DEliSH!

He said he realized we were having 2 starches but that’s what he wanted to make. haha. Fine with me! 🙂

Flowers, homemade card, and homemade coupon cards… does that say breakfast in bed? Oh it sure does… 🙂

Chocolate covered strawberries… MMmmm… It would have been better if I hadn’t found a worm in the strawberries I was eating only a few hours before this. Eww!!! LOL. These were worm free though. 🙂

Not sure where this bag came from, but it’s what I used to put Jared’s little gift in. 🙂

Great minds think alike because I also made him coupon cards. 🙂

And even though we had a sick baby, he managed to dance a little to this cute little cow/giraffe/thing that Jared’s mom got him. 🙂
