My sister, Ally, left for Colorado this past weekend with our youth group at church & we are redoing her room for Christmas. Shhhh!! She doesn’t come back until tomorrow! They already got her a new mattress & bedspread and a few other cute odds n ends for her room so we are putting it all together.
At least this time we don’t have AS big of a time crunch as we did when I redid my moms laundry room!
They went through her ENTIRE room… and I mean, she’s 18. She’s had plenty of stuff go in and NOTHING EVER COMES OUT! lol. So this was much needed and a huge job! We are donating a ton of stuff and have a lot for the trash. Yes, my mom was throwing stuff away!! It’s easy when it’s not your own stuff, right mom. 😉 There was also a box of stuff to keep, like notes and ‘sentimental’ items that she doesn’t need right now. We are thinking less is more so that she can stay organized and clean.
Check out the progress so far: Here is part of her room before.
These are all the water bottles we found while cleaning her room. Add 2 more and a peanut. My mom started singing ‘found a peanut’ song and I laughed. She said, no seriously, I found a peanut. Ha!

This is the teal we picked out!!
Check back tomorrow for pictures of her finished room!! She comes home tomorrow night. I wanted to be there when she gets home but they are saying 11pm. And they are usually late so IDK!!! I think tomorrow I am going to text her saying ‘oh no, a pipe busted in your room and it flooded, we had to throw out a lot of stuff & tried to save as much as we could’. And then send her a picture of all her stuff that I took the other day out in the dining room. I’ll do it about midday tomorrow because I don’t want her to freak out too much. 🙂 See you tomorrow!
