What’s New
March 10, 2011

I’ve been MIA if you haven’t noticed. Between my sisters wedding planning & getting over a pesky cold I haven’t made it to my laptop. Here I am though!

Last week I bought my bridesmaid dress & shoes! It’s SO cute! This is the style && color!

The shoes will be dyed the same color as the dress.

I FINALLY got my hair cut! My friend at work (Megan) cut it for me on our lunch break! && she said the first one is free and after that it’s $20! We cut our cosmetics/beauty envelope significantly while we are in Baby Step #2 phase so I can no longer go to my awesome hair lady. Jared and the baby still go because it’s not as expensive for them & she is the only one that makes Jared’s hair look right. He’s got some sexy hair… or maybe its a sexy face outlined by sexy hair… nonetheless, I only have $20 to spend on my hair every couple months! She did a great job though so yay!

For those of you praying for our specific prayer, (Specific prayer= One month ahead in our envelopes) … don’t think I’m leaving you hanging because I’m not!! I should have an update for you soon, but until then keep the prayers coming! You can not believe the amount of work that has been POURING in for Jared. He has been working late most night && also working on Saturdays.

With all the couponing I’ve been doing, it has finally caught up with us and SAVED us $200 this month! I’ve found this chicken prepping idea … Prepping 5 meals from 5 chicken to be especially helpful with dinners. Jared seems to be the main cook at our house (Except for cream of wheat!) lately so anything to lighten the prep load is nice.

I ordered a new book this weekend. Gazelle’s, baby steps and # other things I learned from Dave Ramsey by . It has great reviews and I’m pretty excited about it! It actually just got delivered to the door! WooHoo!

Jaidan started at the Little Gym this week. He LOVED it! We went once for intro day when he was 10 or 11 months old and he really liked it, but shortly after is when we started FPU and it just couldn’t fit into our budget. This is one of the things I cannot wait to start an envelope for. Not just the Little Gym imparticular, but any kind of music lessons, gymnastics, swim lessons… For this reason, BABY STEP #2 is ONE OF THE HARDEST STAGES!!! Anyhow, we ended up getting a ‘Groupon’ for a year’s membership with one month of class for only $40 and he had enough in his envelope for it. We saved a lot of money by not going fancy on his car seats (Got 2 for $70 I think?) so we had plenty left over to play with. So now if we want to get him another month sometime within the year we can do that too!

I’m starting back into my photography. Not that I stopped, but I’m focusing on that again now that the weather is getting nicer. I have 3 things lined up so far! (Engagements, kids-easter, & family!) My new price this year is $65. That’s for an hour of photography at the location of your choice and 20 edited images on CD!

Jaidan’s 2nd Birthday party… someone needs to help me narrow down a theme. My first theme idea was The Very Hungry Caterpillar book. He really loves to read & thought that would be a cute one to do. Well then that felt too plain for being his Golden Birthday. (Age matches the day he was born) So now I’m thinking to do “My Favorite Things” and have 5 of his favorite things incorporated into his theme. So far I have 1.) Basketball 2.) Books 3.) Dancing 4.) Jesus 5.) ?? I’m really wanting to find one central thing to take over the theme and just incorporate these into it. We already booked the place the party will be held. I loved the 1st Birthday being at our house, but it was entirely too hot and our house isn’t meant to hold that many people. SO we have booked the church gym and will have access to the kitchen, projector & screen (for his 2nd year slideshow), & tables and chairs. We can have a bounce house inside and there’s plenty of room to set up little areas to do things. Any suggestions?? I’m excited to plan, but not excited that he will be 2! We have 5 months left but still!!!
