36 Weeks!
May 22, 2013

36-weeks-

How I’m feeling:

I have no energy. So sleepy. The 1st trimester twin of exhaustion has begun and I really don’t care to do much.

My hands have been going numb in the night so I told my chiropractor and she hooked me up. 🙂 I’m really swollen by the end of the day too & it’s really hard to move around. Once I’m moving it’s okay but I can’t stop and take any breaks or I wont get up.

On Monday night our power decided to go off about 11pm. That made for a very sweaty & quiet night 🙁 I had to sleep with 3 cold wet wash cloths on me and I kept waking up asking Jared what time it was. Our power was only off for 12 hours & was nothing compared to what the people in Oklahoma had to deal with. 🙁 Praying for those people.

Jaidan keeps asking me if the baby came out of my belly yet. LOL. He must know the time is getting close!

Prenatal Appt:

I realized I didn’t even post about my prenatal appt last week! I’m going weekly now. Last week I was up to 152lbs. (32lb weight gain total) and my midwife noticed that I sleep on my right side because of how comfy the baby always is. I start out on my left side but I always end up on my right side because it’s more comfortable the way he is all snuggled up. His butt is always in the same spot, it’s cute.

So my appt this week (36 week appt) was a little longer. I weigh 153lbs (33lb weight gain total), & baby is measuring perfectly (a week ahead which has been consistent). I had to get my blood drawn this time. I forgot to ask what all she is testing for. I think iron is one of them? We also went over postpartum paperwork & labor/birth worksheets. Ahhh!! I just can’t believe it. Next week is my home visit with the midwife. She comes to me and brings the birth pool! I will be 37 weeks and 6 days for that appt!

Baby Buys:

We used our 10% coupon from Target & got the rest of the stuff on our registry we had wanted to get. We were able to get everything with gift cards and still have money leftover for the stuff we might need later when he gets here! 🙂 I ALSO realized (a few weeks ago actually) that we were missing some things I knew we had. (Like the changing pad covers and pack n play sheet) So I have Jared go look in the attic and we find a huge box with tons of stuff in it. It had my brestfriend, boppy, an overnight diaper bag, flannel receiving blankets, more bibs, pacifier clip, new pacifier, 3 super cute bath robes that I loved, and then of course the changing pad covers and pack n play cover. Yeah so we are set. 🙂

One more week until I am FULL TERM and can have my baby safely at home!!
