26 Weeks
March 14, 2013

26 Weeks:

I met with Charley for the first time of the pregnancy this week!! You know, the one that comes riding in on a horse in the middle of the night and grabs your leg viciously. This one wasn’t very bad (thankfully!) I woke up suddenly and was able to pull my leg out before it went full force. I had one that grabbed me so bad one time that I couldn’t even walk the next day. What is that from? I’ve never figured it out. Do I need to drink more water?? Eat more bananas?? Stretch more?? Well I’m making sure to do all of the above because Charley, you are NOT welcome here!

I did my walking every day this week. It was wonderful! I really do feel so much better when I’m able to be active. Maybe the stretching thing DOES have something to do with Charley?

With 3 months still left and NOTHING that fit me, I had to do some shopping. I got some stuff that will work perfectly post baby assuming it’s like post baby with Jaidan. Idk, you can never tell, but these clothes should work. And if not, well… I still need something to wear for 3 more months. lol.

My birth photographer contacted me this week and explained she was moving unexpectedly because of her husband’s job and would no longer be able to photograph my birth!! <Gasp!> I was SOOO sad!! I’ve wanted her since I learned about her after Jaidan was born. I had no idea about photographers for birth when I had Jaidan but my wonderful doula had taken some pictures for me and I’m SO glad she did! With having another home birth I can’t imagine my birth team without a photographer!

I’ve been budgeting for this photographer for quite some time. I had to go searching for another one and narrowed it down to 2, who were both well over my budget. Original photographer was $550. 2 new potential photographers were $750 and $900! I thought NO WAY for the $900 photographer at first and kept on searching. I couldn’t find any that I just really really loved so I went back “just to look” at the $900 girl … and then I actually started to consider paying $900!! For pictures of my birth. It sounds so crazy. I went ahead and contacted both photographers. Turns out they were BOTH offering discounts for the original photographers clients! New prices were now $650 & $750! Still pricey but I’ve never regretted an awesome photographer & that’s something that I really love. I picked the $900 girl. I’m excited again!
