My poor baby threw up this morning at 3am! I woke up because I heard his stomach gurgling and making this pumping noise. (One of the benefits of co-sleeping) I scooped him up and before he was even awake he just started throwing up! 🙁 He got the comforter, sheets, his pajamas, my pants… yuck!
So we got him all cleaned up and then he threw up again. I almost freaked out because a.) I’m a worrier by nature, b.) I’m a first time mom c.) He’s never thrown up before!! d.) It was 3am. Everything seems scarier in the middle of the night. :/ His 3rd time to throw up nothing came out so I was glad that he was able to get the bug out or whatever was upsetting his tummy. We waited an hour and then I fed him a tiny bit to make sure he would keep it down. Even though I haven’t been to work in almost a week because of Memorial day holiday I decided to stay home with him. I just couldn’t leave my little munchkin at home sick. Plus I knew nursing would help kick the sickies.
He ended up running a fever by late morning. Which I know is not a big deal if not accompanied by other signs. I referred back the Dr. Mendehlsons book and that reassured me. We took him to the chiropractor this afternoon!! It was great because Dr. Munoz felt his spine and told us where he felt an issue and as soon as he touched it, Jaidan whined. So he did a little adjustment on him and said the fever should go away in a couple of hours. And it did. He was crawling around his playroom 4 hours later. 🙂 That made my little heart happy!
So I’m hoping his fever stays away and he is on the mend from here. Praying for a better night too!
